The Admiral Motor Inn’s operators, Robert Evans & Elisabeth Bennett, have spent more than 20 years in restaurants and motels.
“Our goal is to make sure guests have a really comfortable stay and a great night’s sleep with us,” Robert says. “A big, luxurious bed is a very important part of that, so we follow the example of 5-star hotels and invest in high quality beds and triple sheeting to ensure beds are absolutely fresh for every guest.”
(Never heard of triple sheeting? It does away with bedspreads that may not be frequently washed in some properties, and so ensures a much more hygienic bed. Triple sheeting uses a fitted sheet, top sheet and then a third sheet goes over the blanket or doona. All sheets are laundered when the bed is changed, presenting a spotlessly clean bed for every guest.)
Other little touches are absolutely free wifi for the whole of your stay, and bookings made at local golf courses or restaurants based on Robert & Elisabeth’s’ vast local knowledge.
The couple have grown children and grandchildren, and genuinely welcome children and family groups. (A cot is available, but please request when booking.)
The Admiral Motor Inn has a 3.5 star rating with the Automobile Association of Australia, while reviews on Trip Advisor give a 4 out of 5 ranking, and reviews on Booking.com give an 8.6 out of 10 ranking. The international hotel reservation service, Venere.com, has awarded commendations to the Admiral for its overall quality and cleanliness.
“People often book for one night, then stay an extra night or two,” Robert says. “Often they haven’t realised how much there is to do on the Peninsula, but we like to think that our service and hospitality also convince them to stay a little longer.”
